Welcome to Events For Pets
Events For Pets Inc is a 501c3 all volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 2010 as an animal advocacy charity whose primary mission was to raise money to help individuals and animal rescues pay for unexpected or emergency veterinary expenses. The original founders retired in 2019 and rather than disband the nonprofit, a new group of volunteers offered to continue the organization's lifesaving mission. The charity was moved to Tampa, Florida and rebranded as Events For Pets.
WHAT WE DO
Events For Pets helps at-risk pets remain with their families and animal rescues to achieve their goals by organizing fundraising, educational, & adoption events. In 2020, Events For Pets acquired KittyCon Tampa Bay and then tested post-Covid waters with MeowWeen Tampa 2021. Our long term objective is to return to our original mission by establishing a charitable fund to assist rescues and families with emergency or unexpected veterinary expenses and pet supplies.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are many ways you can help Events For Pets:
1) DONATIONS - Donations of money, pet supplies, items for raffles or silent auction baskets are always appreciated. Donations are tax deductible subject to applicable laws.
2) SPONSORS AND VENDORS - Events For Pets needs sponsors and vendors for our events. Please contact us to be placed on our sponsor and vendor lists and we will let you know about upcoming events often before they are announced to the public.
3) VOLUNTEERS - Events For Pets would like to build a team of dedicated volunteers to staff various events and provide needed skills and services. If you are an animal lover who may not be able to adopt or foster with an area rescue at this time, volunteering with Events For Pets is a great way to support animal causes.
4) SPREAD THE WORD - One of the most powerful ways you can support Events For Pets is to simply like or follow our pages and share our events on social media - and encourage your friends and family to do the same.
